Colshaw Hall Wedding Videographer – Lucy and Thomas in Cheshire

Colshaw Hall in Cheshire

I filmed Lucy and Thomas’s wedding at Colshaw Hall, a magnificent Tudor style manor house. Located in Over Peover, it’s in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. The hall, originally built in 1903 for the Peel Family, is a listed building with English Heritage. During the 20th century, a fire outbreak damaged the house, and it fell into some disrepair. In 2002, however, the Irlam family made it their home, and restored it to its former glory, adding the Peel Suite and Stables where much of this film was recorded.

Exclusive Wedding Venue

Recently, Coleslaw Hall has developed into one of Cheshire’s premier locations for marriages and events. The Stables has been purpose-built for civil ceremonies, with a chapel-like layout. The Peel Suite is an ideal setting for wedding receptions. During the day, light floods in through the magnificent windows, and the Walled Garden adjacent, is perfect for pictures with the guests. This was the setting for Lucy and Thomas’s big day, you can see their Cinematic Film below:

Bridal Party Preparations

Lucy and the girls got themselves ready at her parent’s home in Southport, which is actually about an hour away from the ceremony and reception venue. I find this quite often with Cheshire weddings, we have so many fantastic venues like Nunsmere Hall, Willington Hall, Combermere Abbey, and of course this one. Couples are attracted from all over the north west, and even nationwide, to head over to Cheshire to get hitched. It can be a bit stressful to have to travel so far on the big day though, but not for Lucy and her bridal party. Everyone was in a lovely (excited but not stressed) frame of mind, and Lucy had done an amazing job of organising everything.

Ceremony Film

The Cinematic Package that Lucy and Thomas chose includes a short form (15-20 minutes) film, see above. In addition, we also include full length films of the ceremony, speeches and 1st dance. Civil ceremonies at Colshaw Hall are usually held in The Stables (don’t worry, there’s no horses). It’s actually a modern Oak Barn style building, purpose build for marriage ceremonies. You can see The Stables in the bottom right of this drone image:

Reception in the Peel Suite

The Peel Suite at Colshaw Hall Country Estate is an ideal location for the wedding reception. The high ceiling and generous proportions give a feeling of space and the surroundings and decor have a luxurious feel.
