Combermere Abbey Wedding Video
Combermere Abbey Wedding Videography Cheshire – This venue was founded by Hugh de Malbank, Lord of Nantwich, in the 12th century. Beginning as a Cistercian monastery, and over the years transformed into a private residence for the Cotton family, then the Crossley family. Recently, the estate buildings and Walled Gardens have been restored, and the stable block converted into luxury cottages. Here’s Ashley and Piers’s video highlights from their celebration at Combermere Abbey in Cheshire:
Getting Ready in the Courtyard Cottages
The stables at Combermere Abbey are just a stone’s throw from the ceremony venue itself. Lovingly converted into nine charming self-catering cottages, they’re enormously popular with wedding parties. We always recommend our brides and grooms to get ready at the ceremony and reception venue if possible. It’s so much less stressful for everyone, much less cramped than being at home. Then there’s the practical advantages of less travelling, and potentially saving money you would spend on cars. Both Ashley and Piers had a cottage each for them to get ready with their bridesmaids/ushers. This made it much easier for me to get video footage of them both before the ceremony.
Outdoor Ceremony in the Victorian Walled Gardens
Ashley made her way to the outdoor ceremony, through the espaliered fruit tree maze along a pretty pathway leading to the Edwardian Glasshouse. Outdoor ceremonies are a rare joy (thanks to our Cheshire weather). However, our luck was in this day, and Ashley & Piers said their vows in the area centre of the maze.
Butterflies in the Victorian Walled Gardens
A lot of brides and grooms have butterflies at the beginning of their wedding ceremony, Ashley and Piers had them at the end:
