30 James Street wedding video – for their celebration in Liverpool, Laura & James opted for a Cinematic (Short Form) Film. This is our second most popular options (just behind our Same Day Edit films). It’s a great choice if you want a film that covers the entire day, but focussed on the best bits. This makes these films shorter than a Full Length film, they are typically 15-20 minutes, an ideal length to watch with family and friends at a post wedding party. We also include a separate film with the full ceremony, speeches and 1st dance, so you don’t miss out at all. It’s even possible to combine this with a Same Day Edit, so you get a 4-5 minute Highlights film on the day, and the Cinematic film and Ceremony/Speeches/1st Dance film later on.
After filming Laura and the girls getting ready at 30 James Street, I dashed over to the church to setup my video cameras and audio equipment for the ceremony. It was a lovely family service. After exchanging rings and signing the marriage register, we all headed back out into the sun, to shower the bride and groom with confetti.
Wedding video Liverpool – 30 James Street has been one of the most popular venues in the city, since being fully restored to its former glory. Constructed between 1896 and 1898, it was built for Ismay, Imrie and Company, which later became the famous White Star Line. The White Star Grand Hall, was originally used as a ticketing office, and provided a 1st class setting for Laura & James’s reception.
The White Star Grand Hall is the main space at 30 James Street, used for wedding ceremonies and receptions. It’s a very grand room with high, opulent ceilings and incredible period features. The hall made a fantastic venue for the wedding speeches. Laura’s mum made a particularly nice speech which features in the film. As a wedding videographer, I feel that the speeches are one of the most important parts of the day. Not just to re-watch in full later on, but also as a source of poignant audio clips. These really tell the story of the day, when combined with video footage from other parts of the wedding.
After the speeches, the 30 James Street team turn the White Star Grand Hall around for the evening party. The dance floor is setup behind the top table, so it’s a pretty simple and speedy process. Then the evening guests begin arriving, and the party begins.
