Wedding Videographer Lancashire – Katy & Dan married at Saint Mary’s Church in Denton, Manchester, and travelled by steam train to their reception at the Fisherman’s Retreat in Lancashire. This was quite a unique wedding, and I travelled on the train with the bride and groom and their guests. Kate and Dan opted for a bespoke package which included a Full Length wedding film covering guests arriving through to their first dance, as well as a shorter Highlights film. You can view their Highlights Video here:
With most of our films, I start the day where the bride and her bridesmaids are getting ready. So it made a change this time to begin the day at the church. Saint Mary’s in Denton, on the outskirts of Manchester. I captured shots of the church, as well as clips of Dan and the guys as the guests began to arrive. Then Katy arrived in style, in a gorgeous vintage car. After a traditional church ceremony, the happy couple and their guests headed back out into the Manchester sunshine, and then onto the train station in Bury.
After a short journey to Bolton Street Station in Bury, the wedding party travelled in style in private steam train carriages to Ramsbottom. The journey was great fun, with Katy and Dan walking through the carriages and chatting to their guests as the train trundled along.
The reception was at the Fisherman’s Retreat, a unique venue set in acres of Lancashire countryside. The meal was served in the spacious Valley Suite which has an amazing feature wall of glass, with stunning views. The evening reception he’s held downstairs in the Ratcliffe suite, which opens onto the spacious terrace.
Although we’re based on the Wirral, I often film weddings throughout Lancashire, and even further north. Here’s another Lancashire wedding the I filmed at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel, near the Forest of Bowland.
