Lancashire Videographer – The Gibbon Bridge Hotel was established by Janet Simpson and her mother back in 1982, as a way to diversify from farming. Set in the tranquility and outstanding natural beauty of the Forest of Bowland, and the spectacular Rubble Valley, we thing it’s a perfect venue for a summer garden, Gibbon Bridge wedding video.
In our own area of Cheshire, we have some fantastic venues for summer garden weddings, such as Thornton Hall Hotel on the Wirral, and Mottram Hall near Wilmslow. They’re both lovely venues, but I have to say, the gardens at Gibbon Bridge are spectacular. The landscaping is ideal for summer wedding, forming a secluded sun trap.
Kirsty & Steven chose our Same Day Edit package, as well as photography for the full day. The Same Day Edit Film is edited on the day of the wedding, and makes a great centre point for starting the evening celebrations. We play the film on our big screen infant of all the evening guests before the first dance. Here’s their Same Day Edit Film:
For their summer Lancashire wedding Kirsty & Steven chose to have their ceremony outdoors in the Bandstand, surrounded by beautiful gardens and stunning scenery. The gardens are designed so that the bride has a spectacular path down the sweeping steps and long aisle. It was a lovely moment for Kirsty and her mum.
We don’t see so many dove releases at weddings these days, they used to be more common a decade or so ago when we started out. It’s always a challenge for us to capture them, and Sarah did well to take this image. As Kirsty opened the basket, the doves literally burst into the air, and within about 3 seconds they disappeared.
After the ceremony, as usual, we allowed the bride and groom time to mingle and relax with their guests. As a videographer, think it’s one of the nicest parts of the day, so we try to be as unobtrusive as possible. A little later I put down the video camera for a while and assisted Sarah with the group photographs. Here’s one of the wedding party:
A special highlight for me as a videographer is showing the Same Day Edit Film in the evening. It’s a lovely way to kick-start the evening party. We always like to capture some night-time photographs. With this being a summer wedding, and a very late sunset, we used our off-camera lighting. Using radio triggers to fire the flashes allowed us to produce this dusky image:
Kirsty & Steven’s was our first Gibbon Bridge Wedding Video, we really enjoyed it and loved this hidden gem of a wedding venue. We hope to be back there again before too long! Here’s another wedding we filmed recently, Andrea and Mike’s Lancashire Manor Wedding.
