De Vere Cranage Estate Cheshire Wedding Film – Luci & Ben

Cranage Estate Hotel Videography

It’s been several years since I last produced a wedding video at the De Vere Cranage Estate. So it was actually lovely to be back there to film Luci and Ben’s big day. Situated near Holmes Chapel, the hotel is in one of the most lovely and desirable parts of Cheshire. Formerly the country seat of the Armistead family, it is still very much a rural retreat.

Originally designed by Lewis Wyatt, the grade 2 listed redbrick house is complemented with more modern spaces. As a videographer this blend of historic elegance and modern practicality and space makes this a great wedding venue. For Luci and Ben’s big day I created this Same Day Edit film for them to take away on the day:

Getting Ready at the Farm

Luci’s parents live in a lovely farm house near the picturesque Cheshire village of Brereton. That’s where the girls were getting ready in the morning, and where I started the day. Luci was very relaxed and calm compared to many brides. She even let her flower girl try on her wedding gown, which was very brave! I love filming in rural locations like this, and didn’t miss the opportunity to get some shots with my video drone before heading over to the church.

Church Ceremony Video at Saint Oswald’s in Brereton, Cheshire

The church in Brereton is very significant for Luci, her parents were married 28 years ago, to the day, at the same church. Her grandparents also, a further 28 years before, and a further 2 generations further back. I half expecting to be back in the same church myself in 28 years time. Filming one of Luci and Ben’s kids getting hitched (although I’ll be getting on a bit TBH). The church looked lovely with flowers prepared by Luci’s mum (the bridal bouquet was provided by The Flower Shop in Sandbach).

The Wedding Reception

After throwing all the confetti, it was a short journey to the De Vere Cranage Estate for the wedding reception. The weather was the best of the year so far for Luci and Ben’s big day. A very pleasant situation for drinks and canapés in front of the house prior to the wedding breakfast.

Same DayEdit Wedding Videography

I have been producing Same Day Edit films, like Luci and Ben’s, for about 6 years now. It’s one of the most popular options, and my personal favourite. You can see more of my Same Day Edit videos here: Stef and Ben at Sheldrakes on the Wirral, Chelsea and Ryan at Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire.
